Property insurance markets face significant challenges, making accurate property valuations more important than ever for public entities. Join us for an informative lunch & learn exploring common misconceptions surrounding building values and property portfolios, key insurance policy terms and coverage considerations, and the role appraisals play in supporting adequate insurance protection. Participants will gain practical insights into the benefits of property appraisals, understand important valuation definitions and premises of value, review critical COPE and roof data requirements, and learn the differences between desktop and physical appraisals. Whether you are evaluating your current property schedule or preparing for future renewals, this session will provide valuable guidance on how accurate property data and valuations can help strengthen your insurance program and reduce coverage gaps. You will also hear from other MN PRIMA members who have recently gone through the valuation process for their entity’s properties.
