    Dorothy Gjerdrum:

    • Senior Managing Director of Gallagher’s Public Sector & K-12 Education Practice
    • ERM Consultant for Gallagher’s ERM Practice Group
    • An ERM champion since 2003 and an international expert, established author, editor, trainer, and curriculum adviser.

    Dorothy helped form and lead U.S. engagement in the development of international risk management standards.  She brings her knowledge of best practices from around the world to her work as a risk management consultant for cities, counties, K-12 schools, community colleges, universities, and public sector pools.  She is a frequent speaker, has developed curriculum and provided training on ERM and ISO 31000 and its application in the public sector. 

    Industry accolades include recognition as one of “25 Women to Watch” by Business Insurance in 2014, a “Top 100 Leader in Finance and Risk” by Treasury & Risk in 2012 and a “Power Broker” by Risk & Insurance three times. 

    Jenny Groskopf:

    Jenny is the Risk and Homeland Security Manager for Dakota County. She oversees the County’s Risk management, health and safety, insurance and claims, and emergency management programs. With over 25 years’ experience working in insurance and risk management, Jenny has led the implementation of an organization wide Enterprise Risk Management program. 

    She is a graduate of the University of MN-Duluth and holds AIC, ARM, and ERM designations. 

    Jenny’s approach to managing risk is grounded in maintaining strong relationships and collaboration across the organization.   

    Emily Colby:

    Emily is the Assistant Director, Enterprise Risk Management for the Metropolitan Airports Commission, where she oversees enterprise risk management, insurance, occupational health and safety, loss control and claims administration for Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport and its six reliever airports. With over 15 years of experience in risk management and a strong public sector background, Emily is leading efforts to establish a robust ERM program in a complex and highly regulated environment.

    She is the staff lead for the Enterprise Risk Management Steering Committee and plays a key role in developing risk strategy and promoting a culture of risk awareness throughout the organization. Emily holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa.

    Emily is passionate about collaboration, continuous improvement, worker safety and building resilient airport operations that serve both travelers and the broader community.

    Kendrick Lewis:

    Kendrick Lewis is the Hennepin County Enterprise Risk Management Division Manager. He has worked for Hennepin for 27 years. He originated the ERM program eight years ago. The program focuses on the County’s strategic risks, supporting leadership decision-making, and creating a culture of 10,000 risk managers.
